House rules
By renting a room, guests agree to comply with these house rules. If a guest breaches them, the management of the guesthouse is entitled to cancel the booking.
Cancellation policy
- The guest pays 100% of the price of the first night if the booking is cancelled after it has been made.
- In the event of a no-show, the guest will be charged 100% of the price of the first night.
- The guest may cancel free of charge up to 5 days before arrival. If the booking is cancelled within 5 days before arrival, the guest pays 100% of the price of the first night.
- On arrival, the guest must pay a security deposit of €50. If the guest damages or breaks anything in the room, scratches the floor or soils the linen, the security deposit will not be refunded. If the damage is greater, the guest must pay for it in full.
House rules
- The guesthouse may only accommodate guests who have properly registered. For this purpose, the guest presents a valid identity document to the responsible member of staff. Persons with permanent residence in the town where the guesthouse is located may also be accommodated.
- The guesthouse provides services at least to the extent and quality laid down by Decree No. 419/2001 Coll. of the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic on the categorisation of accommodation facilities and the criteria for their classification.
- Accommodation is only permitted for persons who are not suffering from infectious diseases.
- On the basis of a booking, the guesthouse is obliged to accommodate the guest no later than 10 pm – the room is reserved for the guest until that time unless stated otherwise in the booking.
- If a guest asks to extend their stay, the guesthouse may – if it can meet the request – offer a different room from the one originally occupied.
- The guest uses the room for the period agreed with the guesthouse.
- If the length of stay was not agreed in advance, the guest checks out no later than 10 am on the last day and vacates the room at the same time. If the guest fails to do so, the guesthouse may charge for the following day.
- A guest who requests accommodation before 12 noon, so that the room could not be let the previous night, also pays for the previous night.
- In their own interest, guests should check the condition and functioning of the room's equipment on arrival and report any defects to the guesthouse immediately.
- The guest agrees that the housekeeper, chambermaid, maintenance staff or the manager of the guesthouse may enter the room during the rental period in order to carry out their duties.
- The guesthouse is not liable for money, valuables and documents, or for items brought into the house by the guest.
- The guesthouse is not responsible for any disagreements or conflicts between guests, but will take the necessary measures, within the scope of the law, to maintain order and quiet in the accommodation and restaurant areas.
- Guests may receive visitors in their room only with the consent of the responsible member of staff, after the visitor has been entered in the visitors' book, between 8 am and 10 pm.
- Guests must not move furniture in the rooms or common areas, carry out repairs or interfere in any way with telephones, radio or television sets, the electrical wiring or any other installations.
- Guests are not permitted to use their own electrical appliances in the guesthouse, especially in the rooms. This does not apply to appliances for personal hygiene (shavers, massage devices, hair dryers, etc.).
- Guests must not make noise, sing or play the radio or television loudly in the rooms or corridors. Night-time quiet must be observed between 10 pm and 6 am.
- For safety reasons, children under 10 years of age must not be left without adult supervision in the rooms, corridors or other common areas of the guesthouse.
- Pets and other animals are not allowed!
- Guests are not permitted to take sports equipment or other items into the rooms if a different storage place has been designated for them.
- Guests may use all facilities of the rented room and the common rooms. Guests are liable for any damage caused to the property of the guesthouse in accordance with applicable regulations.
- When leaving the room, guests must turn off the taps, switch off electrical appliances and lights, close the windows and close the door.
- The bill is usually paid on arrival.
- Complaints and suggestions for improving the guesthouse's services are received by the management.
- Guests are obliged to comply with these house rules from the moment they rent the room. In the event of a serious breach, the management is entitled to withdraw from the accommodation contract even before the end of the agreed period.
- For safety reasons, guests must respect doors marked for staff only and must not insert objects into openings intended for building maintenance; otherwise they are liable for any resulting damage. These house rules are available to guests in the rooms and in a visible place at the entrance to the guesthouse.
- Smoking is strictly prohibited throughout the house.
- Guests may park in the car park by the house; however, it is not guarded by a security service.
- A fee of €50.00 is charged for each lost or damaged room or main-entrance key, or for each damaged lock.
